The smart bed that makes itself

A Spanish furniture company OHEA has come up with a bed that makes itself. Why go to all the fuss on wasting money a bed. I think people should not go buy it because it is a bad idea and who came up with it is smart but lazy.    

I think that this is such a bad idea, don’t you. If you are that lazy then you should just get your fitness going, and not go and get a self making bed. I think it’s a great idea but people around the world should not be so lazy. If you make your own bed it just takes about 5 minutes and you will get good at making beds. That means that you can teach your kids and then you will not have to complain about your children not making their beds.


What my group had to do for reading was that we had to write negative writing about a article on Dog-o-news. It was quite funny to write a persuasive writing on a bed that I really want.

10 Items on a super villan's shopping list

• Lazer vision.
• Riffle and it has long range sight on it also night vision.
• Flying power so he can fly high into the sky when flying away or chasing someone.
• Jumping power so you jump high into the sky and them you can fly.
• Grenades as many as you want.
• Weet bix as many boxes as you want.
• Poison x-ray machine gun.
• handcuffs any size big or small.
• Poison ivy so the person gets poisoned and then they will get killed.
• Water so he does not get thirsty.

Retell of the three little pigs

Once upon a time, there lived three little pigs. Their names were  Flett, Olivia and Katrina. One day their mother said to them, “ it is time for you to move on and live in your own.” So they packed their bags and the next day they went down the street. They tried to find something to build with. Flett the smallest pig was not the smartest pig in town so he found a person that was selling paper, so he brought two tonnes of green A4 paper and started to build his house out of green paper. Katrina, the middle sized pig, found a man selling glass. She brought one million dollars of glass and made her house in three hours. Olivia the smartest pig of them of all went to the shop and brought lots of steel and concrete. She got some men to help her build her house and they started to build it straight away. After a week of living in their house a small strong Skunk came to Flett’s not strong house made out of paper. The skunk said to him, “Let me in let me in little pig.”
“Not by the sound of my hungry rumbly tummy”
“ Then I will pour a load of my truck water on your house little piggie.”
So the skunk poured all of his water from his truck on the poor little piggies house. When the skunk poured the water on the pig’s house it all fell over and Flett ran all the way to Katrina’s house, The next day the small strong skunk came to Katrina’s house and he said,“Let me in, let me in little pig.”
“Not by the sound of my hungry rumbly tummy,” squealed the two little pigs.“ Then I will get my bombs and bomb your place out.”
So the skunk got his bombs and bombed Katrina’s house up.
Flett and Katrina ran to Olivia’s house. Flett and Katrina told Olivia what the skunk did to them. So Olivia got her gun and when the skunk came to her house she was ready. The skunk said to the three pigs, “Let me in let me in little pig.”
“Not by the sound of my hungry rumbly tummy,”
“ Then I will come down your chimney and eat you all up.” The three pigs were ready for the skunk and when he came down Olivia shot him and ate him for lunch the next day.
And they lived happily ever after.

At the moment my class has been learning about Te Reo Maori colours and shapes. I think my goal for Maori is to speak more fluently. I did my work on a hexagon, Here it is!

Room 19 on the radio

“Yeah finally” Waggs and Amy from More FM came too room 19 Parkvale school.They came to our classroom because Paige W-T and her sister Georgia were the weather kids last Wednesday. Waggs and Amy did some recording of us. Waggs recorded it on his iphone. He asked some questions. One of the questions was “ what does Sam hunt!” (Sam is Miss Garland's boyfriend. ) I said “ Duck shooting.” My class sang Keep your head up by Andy Grammer. I feel proud for going on the radio and I hope that I get to go on again.

Blog Review On Katrina's Blog

This is Katrina's blog. I like her blog because she puts a lot of effort into her posts. I think it is a great idea to take rubbish home because then you don't have to pay lots of money for the rubbish truck to come to our school and come collect the rubbish. Another idea is to Reuse paper, what I mean by that is if you use one side then use the other so you save trees.

Alarm

“Beep Beep Beep” I hear my alarm go off. I reach out to turn it off “flick” I turned it off then I rolled over and went back to sleep. 10 Minutes later. “ Come on livie time to get up!” My dad says in a cheerful voice. “Woof” Flett my family's dog comes in. “Yuck” he licks me on my face with his wet tongue. “ AAHH” I moaned I don’t want to get up. It  was warm a minute ago, but now it is cold that’s weird” I shiver “ Whats happening.” I try to open my eyes , Ouch my eyes the sun is burning them, “close the curtains” I yelled. I finally get up, my legs shake as I put them into my warm comfy slippers. “Ding” I hear Katrina chip her bowl as she eats her breakfast . I look at the time on man it’s 7:30 I bet a get move on if I don’t want to be late to school.

Today my class did a basic facts test. I think I did well but it was very stressing

 that's why I got some of the easy ones wrong. I think I need to work on my eight 

and nine times tables.

The Environment

 Today Sarah from the Hastings district council came to Parkvale School.

 Her job is to protect the environment, the environment is lots of diffident

 thing like trees, houses, plants, people,animals and schools. There are

 lots of rules about the environment like you are not allowed to cut down trees

 that have to get permission before you do it. If you built a house on Te-Mata
peak then you have to make sure that your house is either green or brown.

This is my spy watch for my classes homework. It has a telescope, a dog lead, Games, A gun, Video camera,time and the date. It is a useful watch if you are a spy. You can also use it as a normal watch. 

Camp part 2

The Most Amazing Camp Ever!


On the 2nd of April 2012 room 18 and 19 went to Mountain Valley, we went 2nd to the 4th week ten. We went for a school camp, The activities we did were Horse Trekking, Rafting, Bivouacking Fear Factor and much more.


It was sad because we did not go Horse Trekking because it was too windy and it was raining. Horses don’t like that kind of weather. If you go Horse Trekking or Riding in that weather they will go all frisky and try and buck you off.

Rafting was so much fun because we had Deon. he was very funny. We went Rafting on the Mohaka River. I fell out about 8 times. The worst time I fell in was the 4th time when we were going over a rapid I fell out went under the raft and stayed under for about 10 seconds. It was freaky because my beane  went over my head and I couldn’t breath. But it was fun.

Bivouacking was so fun because Lily, Erin and I were in a one. It was a three person one. Bones had made it for us it had a big, long and strong piece of wood. It was raining when we got to our bivouac. We had to wear a lot of clothes not jamies because they would get too wet. The bivouac were really small and low to  the ground so it was hard to move around.

Fear Factor was fun and room 18 had theirs first and they challenged some room 19 people too do a challenge. I was I off those people and it was yucky. It had weet bix, hot chili sauce.

The best part about camp was the rafting because I thought it was a life time experience and if was very very fun.

Thank you everyone at Mountain Valley I had a great time and a great experience. And thank you Miss Hill, Miss Garland, Miss Hodgson and all the parents that helped.

Summarising for the book enemy at the gate

Uncle Frank, Meg and Aunt Edie came to the family's house. Mum told then to sh as Uncle Frank, Aunt Edie and Meg came in. Aunt Edie said to  Mum that she would help in the kitchen but Mum said that she did not have to they have just been for a long drive. That night Uncle Frank and Aunt Edie sleeped in Mum and Dad's room, Meg Jessie and Flo and Johnny and you can sleep on the floor.  Uncle Frank wanted to have a  private talk with the adults. While they had their private talk as kids were talking about the disease and how many people had been killed by it. In the morning Uncle Frank wanted to look at some cars, Aunt Edie wanted to go shopping and then go have some morning tea in town. Jessie did not like Meg when she got up. “ Meg’s pretty but she kicks.”


This is summarising for the literary circle. The Book is Enemy at the gate. It is a very good book.

More FM Camp Interview

         

 On Monday the 2nd of April room 18 and 19 went on camp.
We went from Monday to Wednesday. Some parents called More FM
and said that there was some kids out at mountain valley camp,
 so they rang Miss Garland up and asked her some questions.
 Then Lily did as well.It was fun at camp and I think other people did to.

Camp Part 1

This is my camp reflection.

My favourite thing was “Fear Factor.” First our teams had to number each other. Then Miss Garland called out a number and you had to put a blindfold on and eat the food. I was number four and I had to eat pate it was tasty I loved it but other people didn’t. I felt really nervous before I ate my food but I got over it. We got a lolly when we finished our food.

Games in the barn
On the second day room 18 went white water rafting and room 19 went to the woolshed and played games. My favourite was elephant trunk where you had to put one of your hands under your bottom for a tail and your other hand out in front of you as your trunk. You have to join hands like an elephant.The aim of the game is to get all of the hoops over you and your team, you are also timed. My team won over all and we got some lollies.

Balloon Towers
Balloon towers were fun you got 15 balloons and a roll of tape. The adults cheated because they stuck their  last balloon too the roof. They got eliminated in the end. My team worked really well together and we won overall. We got a little bit of candy cane.

Spelling

This is my spelling list. The words I need to work on are decided, until and finally. I think I am a good speller.

My Dream Camp

This is my dream camp. It has eight bedrooms which boys and girls can sleep in, a big swimming pool, a mud pool with a swing bridge over it, Jelly Mountain and a flying fox over a river it. If you want to answer any questions you can comment.    

What May Happen In 2100

Transport

I think that all people will have auto pilot cars, because they are too lazy. That means that there will not be any crashes. People will use anything for petrol because there will not be a such thing called PETROL. Cars will have have lots more gadgets E.G (Xbox 360, internet and much more.     

Health

People will be much more lazy and will get bigger because they don’t exercise. There might be robots that commend to E.G ( Music One Direction Up All Night.) People Will not go on walks because food will be delivered right to your door by robots! People will get so lazy that there muscles will dissolve and you will not be able to walk any more. Everyone will be in wheelchairs.

Education

I think there will not be schools because you will be talking to your teacher on Skype. You would not have to get up early to get to school. You could do all your work in the after-noon.

Rockets

These are my rockets. I have highlighted all of 5 and 6a. On 6b I just need to work on is to round whole number to the nearest 1,000 and also to round numbers to the nearest 100.

Swimming Sports

      On Wednesday the 22nd  of February team 5 did swimming sports. There was competitive and fun events. I had fun and I'm sure other people did to.

Nitro Circus

Preparing to start 5..4.3..2...1 Get Ready Set Go!! I was riding my monster truck through the dusty desert. The hot sand was as hot as the morning sky which was burning my eyes  coming through the open window “Go faster!” my mate screamed I thought that I should go faster and not chicken out but I was scared and I did not want to muck up and not land it I wanted it to be all perfect. Driving a monster truck is much different than a normal car because its more bouncy and larger. I could smell the hot sand going up my nostrils it was disgusting. The sand tasted like rotting dirt it was gross. Oh no here comes the cops.  

Swimming

This post is on my swimming that I have done so far. I think I will be in the top group because I need to practice my diving.  I think when I dive my legs go like frogs. I love swimming because it is fun and you do lots of exercise.

My first week reflection

• I found using paint was easy because when I'm happy I enjoy myself I find things easy.
• I felt proud when I finish my work Early because than I can go on to my class’s blog and play games on there.
• I felt excited when I found out that I was in the computer class and my teacher was Miss Garland because Katrina said that Miss Garland is a cool teacher and I am lucky to have here.
• I found different using the laptop is much easier than writing because I am not so good at writing, and you don’t wast time getting your books out.

Swimming

In swimming this year I am practising  hard because I want to get into the school inter school team.
This year I want to work on my diving. I like swimming because it is fun, good exercise and I'm good at it.
